The Village: Nestling on the shores of Loch Bay, the tiny fishing village of Stein is one of the most scenic and picturesque places on the romantic Isle of Skye. Designed originally at the end of the 18th Century as a model fishing village, Stein is still home to fishermen who brave the local waters to land fresh seafood.
The Restaurant: In an enviable position, just a stone’s throw from the sea is Alison and David Wilkinson’s tiny atmospheric restaurant, where they have been for seven years. This inimitable restaurant has a legendary reputation and the emphasis as always, is on the freshest fish, simply cooked at a sensible price level. As the restaurant is very small, table reservations strongly advised. |
